Faces of DC - Ongoing

This is Phil, who works in one of the few remaining full service tobacco stores in DC.

Stepping in there was like stepping back in time. There was a bunch of guys sitting in deep leather seats, just outside a sizable humidor, puffing on fat cigars. There were displays of pipes, of all styles, makes and material -- some very functional; others quite the work of art (I remember a friend saying that about collections of bongs too...). The smoke drifted, hanging thick along the ceiling and the smells mingled into something rather pungent.
